Nostalgia 3/5
This is a Leica IIIg (1957) inherited from my father. You will notice that the UV filter is a Canon one. I have used it many times. The lens and the rangefinder are fabulous!

Does Leica offer a conversion of this instrument to digital?
richard standley: I wish they did Ray! Thanks.
That definitely is a treasure to hold on, beautiful piece

Thumbs up!
Bonne soirée. Bises
I have been reading the comments, it amazes me that someone metnioned, that you kept this....that would be a crime of life, to throw out a camera, a camera is for life....great series.
richard standley: I agree Astrid, it would have been a crime! Thanks a lot.
I agree with Astrid, I have camera's and can not throw them out, even though they don't get used any more
richard standley: Thanks Tracy. I'll keep them as long as possible and hope that Ann will over!
Great to see again- I started with one of these but took poor shots with it, so was very glad when Olympus changed the world of photography with the lovely OM-1.
This one is certainly in great condition- you must have a caring family!

richard standley: Many thanks Don.
I agree - Leica cameras are supposed to be top notch. They really don't make them like that any more.
