I am Richard. I was born in Madagascar and lived there for 22 years.
I then migrated to South Africa where I spent 10 years of my life (8 years in Johannesburg area and almost 2 years in Port Elizabeth).
Since 1984 I live in a small town called "Brou-sur-Chantereine" located at about 30 kilometers east of Paris.
I started shooting very young with my father who for me was the greatest amateur photographer! At that time it was mainly B&W, we used to have a dark room at home where I spent thousands of hours. Due to a revolution in the country in 1972, I had to quit Madagascar in 1974 leaving everything behind me.
I also shot thousands of slides, part of them (the ones shot in Africa between 1969 and 1998) can be seen on a site called "DIAPOSITIVES" which I started in May 2007. You may have a look at them by clicking on the following link:

I am new in digital photography and still experimenting it.
I'll be glad to receive constructive advices
